    Abstract
The basis for individual competence (ICB 4.0) developed by IPMA is the international standard for the development and assessment of personal competencies in the project, program and portfolio management. Individual competence is the application of knowledge, skills and abilities to achieve the desired results. Managing project risks and opportunities helps decision-makers decide, prioritize, and choose between alternative courses of action throughout the project lifecycle. The purpose of this competency is to empower the individuals to effectively understand and manage risks and opportunities including the response to them. The IPMA ICB identifies five key competition indicators for the management of risks and opportunities in the project, correlated with sixteen metrics or key performance indicators. However, the IPMA ICB does not detail the methods, techniques and tools that project managers can use to develop risk and opportunities management, so the aim of this work is to correlate the processes and techniques of risk management with the five key indicators of competence risk and opportunity management.
