LA GESTIÓN MEDIOAMBIENTAL EN LAS EMPRESAS DE CONSTRUCCIÓN VALENCIANAS

Abstract

The concern for the environment has been increasing in all areas of society at last years, and has been defined or created the concept of "sustainability" in almost all productive sectors. In the construction sector, as one of the main engines of the economy and also one of the main generators of environmental impacts, it has also happened the same, resulting in new regulations, voluntary tools, certification systems, etc., in order to preserve or minimize the impact on the environment. One of the initiatives is the environmental management of organizations, simply or solely through good practice, both organizational and constructive, as in a more formal level with the implementation of Environmental Management Systems (EMS). The aim of this communication is to analyze the environmental management practices from a sample of companies in the construction sector Valencia.
