    Abstract
Product presentation from different devices is an important stage in all industrial design processes. On the one hand, it is a way to bring and publicize the benefits of the finished product to the consumer, either in person or remotely, as in the case of e-retailing. On the other hand, in the intermediate stages of conceptualization and formal definition it helps the designer to verify that the product in development meets the expectations of the user. Knowing the impressions and feelings that this first contact with the product causes on the user, even when it is not yet in production, it is vital for redirecting the design process and avoid prematurely falling into the wrong approach. This paper describes all the conditions and factors to conduct a comparative study of suitability between two display technologies for presenting a product to the user: TFT display and autostereoscopic display, considering two presentation formats: static images and animations, and considering two different user roles: passive or active, to establish some kind of interaction with content.
