Nowadays, the society is in a constant demand of product design innovation. The importance of on time innovation supposes the success or the bankruptcy of an enterprise. For this reason, lots of research has been based in this topic: creative methods, creative metrics, creative people, creative spaces, etc. But all this research has been focused in the designer or engineer’s activity as a professional. Nevertheless, all these variables must have been trained in order that a professional could make profit of them. And the teaching trend up to now remains in the same way: conventional classroom with similar distribution and resources. Given that it has been demonstrated that workspace has influence in creativity results, the present work will address and reflect on the space for creativity teaching. Moreover, the aim was to focus on the aspects to consider for defining an optimal creativity teaching environment, and define the main difficulties that can be found when trying to scientifically validate the experiments focused on verifying the considered hypothesis.
