DESARROLLO DE UN BANCO DE ENSAYOS PARA EL ANÁLISIS EXPERIMENTAL DE ESTRUCTURAS COMPLETAS DE SEMIRREMOLQUES

Abstract

This paper shows the process of design, development and implementation of the first test bench developed for the heavy vehicles industry, able to analyze the structural behavior of a full semi-trailer under fatigue loading. The bench supposes a worldwide innovation, since there are not similar mechanical systems known able to reproduce in laboratory controlled conditions the critical maneuvers in a vehicle of these dimensions and weight, allowing to predict the vehicle behavior prior to its launch to the market. This involves several advantages over traditional field testing, providing to the manufacturers a tool that improves and significantly shortens the process of designing and testing for these vehicles.
