This paper touches fundamental aspects of remanufacturing and their structure in global context as "end of life” strategy that contributes economically and to Sustainable Development by the recovery of virtually discarded products; although it should not neglect that recovery processes are not necessarily favorable to the environment.Particularly is analyzed the context of Mexicali, Baja; California. Factories and products that are currently doing remanufacturing in the region were documented, as well its problems and its benefits. Also descriptive issues arising of local remanufacturing industries, without neglecting the comparative characterization of the huge remanufacturing in factories maquiladoras in the northern border of Mexico.
