    Abstract
The singularity and complexity of construction projects, in both residential and industrial sector have generated that consulting firms have to form multidisciplinary teams to carry out these projects. To coordinate these teams and achieve the project objectives are necessary to apply a series of techniques and tools of project management in each and every phase of projects. In the consulting firms of architecture and engineering, works of various kinds are made, from mere drafting of project documents, passing by the control and management of the contracting process until the integrated management of the whole construction process at turnkey projects. The object of this paper is to analyze the use of the techniques and tools of project management in the consulting firms of the construction sector in Valencian Community.
