Experience and innovations in urban and regional mater projects developed since final degree projects directed by professors of the Department of Urbanism of the Civil Engineering School of the University of Granada are presented. In addition to traditional Partial Plans and Urbanization Projects, conducted for various areas of Spanish cities, has been a constant move towards new themes and instruments in this area to be developed from the PFC. So one of the most powerful new tools will be used Geographic Information Systems. These will be used to improve the previous studies of construction projects, such as determining the territorial capacity, alternative studies, or to prepare technical reports such as: Impact Studies and Landscape Integration, Hydrologic-Hydraulic, territorial and foresight transformation of accessibility, etc. UAV applications of technology are also studied. We have also developed and considered various thematic reports and / or cooperation projects, studies and projects such as mobility, urban services, etc. They all show finally how the development of final degree projects has been essential for innovation in urban planning and zoning, with the collaboration of the students.
