A key factor in the success of a project is the effective management of human resources. Bringing together a group of people to work on a project is not to create a team. A project team is a group of interdependent people working in cooperation to achieve the goal of the project. The issues that traditionally have been taken into account to achieve a United and effective team include the following: a clear understanding of the objective of the project by all members of the team, clearly define the expectations of the role and responsibilities of each Member of the team or a high level of cooperation and collaboration and trust between them. However, it has been left in the background, the role played in the development of the team by relational goods, defined as “non-material goods which are linked to interpersonal relationships”. The importance of concepts such as reciprocity, identity, gratuity or concurrency will be presented in this work. These concepts are fundamental in improving of interpersonal relationships with team members and thus the team performance.
