APROXIMACIÓN A LA APLICACIÓN DEL MÉTODO DE LA CADENA CRÍTICA A PROYECTOS DE OBRA CIVIL

Abstract

A constant in the performance of civil works projects is the appearance of delays in relation to the planned baseline. This delays resulting in many cases by a poor planning of the activities to develop. Currently, the market pressures force to compress schedules in an effort to reduce deadlines, without an increase in costs and maintaining quality requirements of the project. Application of Critical Chain method could be presented as a solution to improve the planning, monitoring and control of construction projects, allowing to eliminate some undesirable effects of management methods used so far, such as variations in the duration estimates, Student Syndrome, multitasking ... However will need to make an effort to adapt this methodology, with a proven efficacy in the industrial field, to the construction projects. In this study, we want to review and to develop a subsequent abstract of the work done in this area, as a first approach to the development of a procedure for adapting the methodology of critical chain to construction projects.
