The teaching guide of a subject must include the detailed planning carried out by its faculty and make it available to the students who attend the subject and any others interested in it. In addition, it must contribute a great deal of the information necessary for the teaching coordination and the processes of reviewing and monitoring of degrees. The quality of a given degree will depend, to a significant extent, on the teaching guides of the subjects that constitute it. As with any other process, the way to ensure the quality of these guides is to evaluate them and propose actions to improve them.
The aim of this paper is to present a method of evaluation of teaching guides developed at the Technical University of Cartagena (UPCT) and its application to a full degree, the Master's Degree in Industrial Engineering. The assessment is based on the UPCT teaching guide model. The procedure consists of checking if the guide evaluated follows the current format, if all its mandatory fields are filled in, if the information from the verification memory of the degree is correct and if the teaching and assessment methodologies are adequate and consistent with the results of the proposed learning.
