In many technical schools, the norm UNE 1570001 is constituted as basic and obligatory norm in the writing of End of Studies Projects in special, the industrial titulations.
So much so that even such use is included in the regulations for the drafting and defense of these projects, as is the case of the School of Engineering in University of Cádiz, where this condition has been transmitted from the old Technical Engineering to the new Degree. However, in a very large number of cases, despite the efforts of teachers and tutors, students present defects in the follow-up of the norm, which causes the final quality of the work to be compromised.
In this paper it's intend to make a statistical study of the defects that have appeared in the End of Study Proyects of the Mechanical Engineering Degree of School of Engineering in the last year. The study will be approached in a way that tries to collect which errors are the most frequent and how this affects the final qualification of the work.
