"Project Management" is a subject taught in the first year of the Master's Degree in Industrial Engineering at the Universitat Politècnica de València. The lectures have proposed the implementation of an innovation and educational improvement project (PIME) for the 2016-2017 academic year. Nowadays, the teaching methodology of theory and practice in the classroom has been based on lectures, case studies and problem solving, and the evaluation of this part has been through exams. With the PIME, we propose to introduce, as a novelty, that the students make a Project Management Plan in order to simulate the management of a real project following the PMBOK.
This work has to be carried out in groups of five students. These students, in addition to presenting the management plan, must develop behavioral competences (according to IPMA NCB v3.1), both of the Project Manager and of the Team. One of the difficulties to evaluate this work is how to evaluate those competencies. In this communication, it is proposed to design some rubrics to help carry out this evaluation.
