    Abstract
Safety of products and people is essential in the aeronautical sector. The improvement of the health and safety of workers has been developed over the last few years based on three fundamental processes: 1. Technological improvement of machines, tools and industrial processes 2. Implementation of management systems based on norms and procedures and, 3. The culture of prevention or elimination of failure as a way of working, where people assume their safety as a fundamental part of their daily activity. Having overcome the first two phases that prevent the accident due to technical failure, there is still a great margin for improvement to prevent human error through the preventive culture. Airbus has developed an unprecedented preventive culture improvement program. A diagnosis was made to calculate the initial degree of maturity, based on the NOSACQ-50 questionnaire developed by the Nordic countries and the Parker scale; which measures the ascending levels of an organization in pathological, reactive, calculating, proactive and generative. This paper presents the actions developed by Airbus to achieve the generative level or excellence in accident prevention.
