Environmental concern is present in all aspects of society, both in territorial planning, in the development of new projects, in business organizations, as well as in the design, commercialization and acquisition of products for the final consumer.
For final consumers, quality and price are easy to compare, but is not the same with environmental information, which is not available or is only available in the product catalogs. To this end, eco-labels have emerged, which indicate that a product belonging to a given category is suitable to the environment on the basis of a series of considerations based on its life cycle.
The aim of this work is to make a comparison of the five selected type I environmental labels (EU Ecolabel, Environmental Choice, Eco Mark, Blue Angel and Nordic Ecolabel) about their ecological criteria in order to determine which of them is more demanding from an environmental point of view for the toilet paper.
The comparison will be made using the Analysis Hierarchy Process (AHP) methodology based on the ecological criteria for the product category related to toilet paper.
