After the aplicattion of Regulation (EU) No 168/2013 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 15 January 2013 on the approval and market surveillance of two- or three-wheel vehicles and quadricycles, motorcycles with engine cylinder capacity exceeding 125cc must have an ABS system.
In the segment of sports motorcycles, we find those for sale by main manufacturers, the sensor is accessible and therefore exposed to functional deterioration that can lead to an accident.
The present paper shows the design of a piece, with a high level of adaptation for global brands, that covers this lack, avoiding the deterioration risk by exposure of the rear ABS system and, therefore, the motorcycles functional safety.
In the design, it has been taken into account that accessory installation does not involve to manipulate vital parts of the vehicle, reason why it allows users to assemble it by themselves, promoting its commercialization.
