The usual practice of consumerism in large supermarkets is characterized by the use of shopping trolleys whose contents are bagged for removal from the supermarket to the home. The use of plastic bags involves the consumption of large quantities of energy for their manufacture, the use of materials derived from petroleum whose degradation period is high and, in most cases, the use of serigraphs containing toxic metallic wastes.
This paper presents the design of a new shopping cart with a double objective: its use in large areas to replace the one usually placed at the disposal of the customer and allow the transport of the goods to the house directly in the car without necessity that the product has to be pocketed.
The key features to be highlighted in the new design are its load variability which can be 60, 120 and 240 liters, thus adapting to the needs of the customer and the possibility of being folded occupying a maximum volume of 79 liters, favoring This way its transport and storage in housing.
