Nowadays it is needed to highlight the importance which is being given to competences, not just as a performance indicator of the Project manager but as the way to evaluate the results and outcome of the Project itself. In this context competences become a key factor for individuals who can demonstrate them, playing a very important role to differentiate individuals in highly competitive industry. Companies are adopting new models based on the competences that each individual must adopt, aiming to get employees to perform more efficiently by adapting these enterprise values.
Aerospace industry is exposed to same kind of competence models as other sectors, and the main aim of the following article is to define, which the key competence indicator used in the aerospace industry, taking as a reference the people competences covered by ICB4 from IPMA. The outcome is going to analyse how the personal competences can be applied to the specific case of the aerospace sector and how the performance of project managers against these competences can be measured.
