The present research project focuses on the design and development process design and development of a computer controller (PC mouse). Based on the State of the Art and Market analysis carried out on the design of controllers, the possibility of improving the product design through ergonomic analysis of the target segment has been detected. The general objective is the design and development of an innovative product, including this particular objectives: user analysis, risk analysis and skeletal muscle disorders (MSD), analysis of activities and tasks, as well as evaluate the best available techniques to perform ergonomic evaluations.
For the evaluation proposal, different product solutions have been analyzed using thermographic and electrogoniometric techniques. With the data obtained from the evaluation, a product redesign report has been proposed, supported by the use of conformity questionnaires through a Kano Model evaluation and an immersive evaluation where the participants model the optimal form of the product for use.
