Abstract

On behalf of the Health Department of the Generalitat Valenciana, improvements and refurbishments are being carried out in the installation of various sanitary centres for saving and improving energy efficiency. Due to the age of its facilities and equipment, Dr. Moliner Hospital has requested a study of the implementation of solar panels, as well as the replacement of some of the current equipment to improve the performance of the building. The aim is to have a smaller environmental footprint and reduce fuel costs. The purpose of this work is to carry out the technical and economic study for the implementation and implementation of solar panels to produce Domestic Hot Water, and the realization of two proposals for the installation of photovoltaic energy in the Hospital Comarcal Doctor Moliner, located in the town of Serra, Valencia. It has been determined that they are interesting from an economic point of view and also from a social point of view, investment in this sector is established as a priority in the short, medium and long term.
