The recovery of urban waste is a social demand and a measure of the energy-environmental sustainability of cities and regions. In particular, wastes of electrical origin, WEEE in the hands of managers allow them to be strongly valued. The plastic fraction of these wastes allows their gasification mixed with biomass, for the production of synthesis gas. This work studies the recovery of energy by thermal conversion of plastic waste from the disassembly of the luminaires by mixing said plastic waste in different proportions with the biomass of crop residues (olive, pine, etc.), Co tests -gasification were carried out in a fixed bed reactor downstream, at temperatures of approximately 800 ° C. The results obtained demonstrate the applied viability of the technology, with the ideal conditions for the production of higher LHV syn-gas (more than 5 MJ / Nm3) produced in mixtures of up to 30% of plastic waste from. This study was complemented with the economic-financial analysis. Using it as a case study for the technological reconversion to LED that is planned to be carried out on a large scale in the Alentejo region (Portugal), as a circular economy solution.
