Nowadays, the environmental effects caused by human activities are increasingly and becoming more remarkable, especially on the global temperature and the extreme global events. For many years, the use of fossil fuels and high polluting emissions have encouraged to the global warming, which is a very important threat to the life in our planet.
The main reason for doing this work comes from the need of a change in the energetic model based on fossil fuels by a more ecological and environmentally friendly model, so it pretends to achieve a reduction of the contaminant emissions and a better energetic use of the wastes generated.
This work contains the design of an auxiliary installation for the daily production of 100 Kg of biodiesel, using waste cooking oils as feedstock. This installation could be implemented in any productive process, in order to generate fuel self-sufficiency and to achieve an efficient use of the wastes generated in the industry.
