Abstract

The sugarcane processing industry is one of the main industrial activities in the Dominican Republic, so the investment in this sector by both industrialists and state entities is focused from the national strategy in the Dominican Republic.

The industrialization and improvement of production equipment that is being carried out in this sector, but in parallel, other measures and techniques that support and strengthen business success must be put in place. And in this area, Maintenance is one of the most important fields that can contribute to the success of improvements in the sugarcane processing industry.

The work presented analyses the situation that document management presents in the companies being treated. This documentation is considered inadequate to support the developments that are taking place in the comprehensive maintenance system so that a new documentary structure suitable for the "World Class" Maintenance System is designed. The effect of handling documentation and maintenance records will be displayed.
