Abstract

Logistic warehouses have a large thermal load and generally require a sprinkler installation for fire protection. One of the best solutions to avoid the obligation to use intermediate sprinklers is the use of high flow ESFR (Early Suppression, Fast Response) type ones. However, current regulations do not contemplate the use of this class of sprinklers. American regulations NFPA 13 has been used by different designers and has been accepted in some autonomous communities. The article aims to analyze the problem of the administrative processing of this type of sprinkler in the case of logistics facilities as well as the technical conditions required.
