La construcción 4.0: hacia la sostenibilidad en el sector de la construcción.

Abstract

Nowadays, the construction industry is undergoing a transformation thanks to digitalization and incorporation of new technologies which industrializing its processes, currently known as Construction 4.0. The application of Construction 4.0 has demonstrated greater flexibility and technical feasibility by offering more sustainable and efficient solutions. Industrialized construction (prefabricated and / or modular) incorporates technologies and methodologies (e.g. Lean Construction and, BIM) capable of minimizing time and costs, improving productivity in the sector. The objectives of this work are firstly to establish industrialized construction from a 4.0 perspective through a review of the literature, and secondly, to reflect on the construction approach with a 4.0 approach. towards the principles of sustainability and sustainable development for the societies of the future.
