Utilización de la gamificación para el desarrollo de competencias transversales en el grado de Ingeniería Mecánica

Gamification and Project Based Problem could be an interesting alternative to a traditional approach to university teaching. With these methodologies, motivation could be increased and students can develop both specific and professional competences more deeply. In this paper, a gamification and project-based learning activity is analyzed. The activity consists of the design and construction of a balsa wood bridge. In the communication, the experience is described and the opinion of the students is analyzed using a questionnaire created for this purpose. The results indicate that the students value the activity very positively and contribute possible improvements for future editions.
