In recent years, different tools have been implemented in Galicia to solve the social and economic problems of marginal rural areas through the application of different rural development policies and measures, under which social development projects are carried out. The success of these projects is often conditioned not only by territorial constraints, but also by the difficult and multiple interactions that exist between the different actors involved in the project.
This paper analyzes the management of stakeholders in Rural Development Projects (RDP), as one of the determining factors when it comes to achieving a successful project. In the first place, an analysis of the complexity of the PDRs is proposed in order to analyze the patterns and methodologies that best adapt to the social development of project management, visualizing interrelations, values and expectations of the interested parties to determine your success. Next, an analysis of stakeholder management in RDP is carried out and a study of the art of the different tools of analysis of those interested in the project is carried out. Finally, a case study is proposed to assess the integration of the PMI methodology with agile methodologies in the field of Rural Development
