Since the implementation of the European Higher Education Area (EHEA), the concept and relevance of competence development has been gaining ground in the academic
debate reflected in the development of lectures related to training on these elements. Within the ADA initiative of the Community of Madrid (Aula a Distancia y Abierta),
which main objective is to promote the use of ITs on educational activities involving six public universities, GESPLAN designed a specific subject for the development of
behavioral competences on e-learning mode including 19 competencies from the knowledge base of ICB from IPMA. This communication presents the results of this
innovative approach for competence development, bringing a new methodology for the integration of these elements in professional development. Results from its
implementation evidenced the high transversality character of its contents, the positive contribution of conceptualization to the learning process, and its constructive results of the learning interactive processes.
