UTILIZACIÓN DEL ANÁLISIS DE CICLO DE VIDA (ACV) EN LA SELECCIÓN DE CUBIERTAS PLANAS DE EDIFICACIÓN
Resumen
Two flat roof solutions are studied, the conventional and the inverted, which are broadly used in Spain, and about which contradictory recommendations are given. On one hand, the use of mineral wool as insulation materials is recommended versus extruded polystyrene (used in inverted roofs), because of its more environmentally-friendly manufacture. On the other hand, inverted roofs are recommended versus conventional cold roofs because of their longer service lives. In this paper, we apply the methodology Life Cycle Analysis (LCA) to obtain the impact of different construction solutions with rigor, allowing us to know which solution is more appropriate and why.
