| dc.description | Estudiamos dos soluciones de cubierta plana, la convencional y la invertida, ampliamente usadas, sobre las que existen recomendaciones enfrentadas en la literatura. Por un lado, se recomienda el aislamiento con lana mineral por ser su fabricación medioambientalmente menos dañina que la de poliestireno extruído utilizado en cubiertas invertidas. Por otro lado, la cubierta invertida se recomienda frente a la convencional por su mayor vida útil. En este trabajo, aplicamos la metodología de Análisis de Ciclo de Vida (ACV) para obtener con rigor los impactos de las diferentes soluciones, permitiéndonos saber qué solución es más apropiada y por qué. | dc.description.abstract | Two flat roof solutions are studied, the conventional and the inverted, which are broadly used in Spain, and about which contradictory recommendations are given. On one hand, the use of mineral wool as insulation materials is recommended versus extruded polystyrene (used in inverted roofs), because of its more environmentally-friendly manufacture. On the other hand, inverted roofs are recommended versus conventional cold roofs because of their longer service lives. In this paper, we apply the methodology Life Cycle Analysis (LCA) to obtain the impact of different construction solutions with rigor, allowing us to know which solution is more appropriate and why.
