    Resumen
Environmentally friendly product design consists in systematically considering environmental aspects in all the phases of the life cycle. Sometimes, showing respect to the environment becomes a distinctive element of a product or a mark. Some market clusters begin to consider this factor as a decisive criterion in their purchase decisions. Therefore, an environmentally friendly product must be perceived in this manner by the user. There is a relation between physical attributes of the product and the level in that the user perceives the product as environmentally friendly. This relation is complex. In this work we present, by means of a case of study, a neural network based model that permits to predict, from the product characteristics, the level in that the user perceives the product as environmentally friendly. Keywords: design, environment, neural networks.
