OBTENCION DE UN MATERIAL DE EMPAQUE A PARTIR DE RESIDUOS PROVENIENTES DE LA EXTRACCION DE OLEORRESINAS DE CHILES SECOS Y PAPEL RECICLABLE
Resumen
An increase in the environment concern demands to looking for alternative packaging materials involved in the three R: reduce, re-use and recycle. The aim of the present project was the production of a packaging material based on dry chili exhausted flour, obtained after extraction of the oleoresin of the Capsicum annuum. Three different fibers were incorporated in a proportion to 20 % w/w exhausted flour. Physical properties and water barrier properties were analyzed. Kraft paper was less permeable to the water vapor transmission and also showed a major density. The analysis of variance (p minor 0.05) was carried out for an experimental design with only one factor with three type of fiber. Physical properties as thickness, weigth, superficial density and density, presented an effect on the average reponse. Actually, the results obtained in laboratory are being scale up in order to obtain the best equipments to optimize the process. Keywords: alternative packaging, dry chili flour, oleoresins
