ESTUDIO DE LA GENERACIÓN DE RESIDUOS DE ENVASE DE ORIGEN INDUSTRIAL EN CENTROS DE DISTRIBUCIÓN ALIMENTARIA

Abstract

The sale and distribution of food, drink and home products sectors are very important to the Spanish economy, and are also big creators of packaging waste. Therefore, the study of their behavior in the generation and management of industrial and commercial packaging waste, in particular of the majority of materials, which are made of plastic and cardboard, is of special interest. This article shows the results of a survey aimed at distribution and retail centres, concentrating on the waste packaging that remains in the distribution centre, or rather, which do not reach the consumer and are therefore dealt with as industrial packaging waste.
