Chord to the new paradigms related to the strategic management has stood out diverse theories based on an external focus and mainly in one internal when justifying the sustainable competitive advantages in the companies. This theories have been proven in diverse sectors, where has been proven the success in the implementation of this theories, which is increased when they are applied conjugating the external with the intern focus. The fundamental idea of this new form to management the strategies success it is to center this process in the management of intellectual capital, which involves the management of the core activities, core competencies and core products in the process of value creation that develops the company.
Therefore, the present study has as main objective to integrate the Structural Theory (SWOT Analysis, generic strategies and the chain valor) with the Theory of the Resources and Capacities in the process of analysis and strategic formulation. Later on these formulated strategies will have to be implemented and then to control their contribution in the competitiveness of the company. This paper this applied in the construction sector and it has been product of a process of improvement continuous product of their application in diverse companies and for the academic development.
