PORTAFOLIO, PROGRAMA Y PROYECTOS: SU INTERRELACIÓN
Resumen
The program is developed through many projects, they are both component of a portfolio. The projects, programs and portfolios have close link between them. The Project
Management Institute (PMI) has published three standards of these concepts, these tools are necessary to show the interrelated and development, in order to achieve the
organizational strategic objectives. In the literature, these comparisons have not been found analyzing the link between these standards. This paper compares processes groups for the program and project management. It also shows the interrelationship between the components of the portfolio, programs and projects. Finally, it applies the plan-do-check-act cycle (PDCA) for grouping as the components of the portfolio management. To achieve the correct application of the PMI standards and responsive to the needs, ideas and opportunities required by organization of any kind, it is necessary to know the interrelationship between the portfolio, program and projects.
