LA DIRECCIÓN DE PROYECTOS EN LA EMPRESA EXTENDIDA
Resumen
An extended enterprise could be both an enterprise based in a combination of different sites, even located at different continents, or resulting from co-operation of groups of working teams coming from different enterprises. Project management must be capable of solving problems arriving from the lack of direct contact between working teams. It is true that XXI century communication tools provide a remarkable help (e-mail, videoconferencing …). However, working teams are the result of aggregated persons, and so, given attention and relation channels inside the group conform the security framework.
Nowadays, most of project management tools provide support for distributed working teams across different organizations. Thus, the complexity of maintaining an effective project control in an extended enterprise is near eliminated due to the distributed functionalities those tools provide with. However, an effective management must be the combination of those tools plus motivation and encouraging of the persons allocated to those working teams.
