According to Spanish Royal Decree 1627/1997, of October 24th, which establishes a minimum safety and health provisions in construction works, by its Article 6, the developer is obliged to include a Health and Safety Study, or a Basic Study in the construction project document, whether it is related to civil works or engineering. Therefore, since that year we have experience in developing them. However, the majority of studies that are incorporated in practice suffer from a series of defects and shortcomings that in this paper will be analyzed in order to offer means for their improvement. One of them in terms of content, is the generalization in which these projects are involved, when what should always be sought is the particularization so that the project paper accurately reflects the project situation.
