The success of R&D projects is mainly subjected to the capacities of their team members. Among others, this kind of projects differentiate from more traditional engineering ones as they need to be developed under more flexible conditions, as generally is not possible to define precisely their outcome, joint with their higher failure rates. For those reasons, innovative team members must accomplish certain personal or behavioural skills, such as high resilience towards failure and the ability to adapt to changing environments, that can be even more crucial than the technical ones.
This communication is devoted to perform an exhaustive literature review of the existing performance evaluation methodologies in order to serve as the basis for a new performance methodology specific for innovative teams.
