ESTUDIO DEL RIESGO DE ESTRÉS TÉRMICO EN TRABAJOS AL AIRE LIBRE EN LA PROVINCIA DE PONTEVEDRA (GALICIA)

Abstract

One of the characteristics of working in the agroforestry sector is that many times they are carried out outdoor, therefore exposed to weather conditions, in many cases adverse ones. Thus, the worker is submitted to the risk of thermal stress, either by heat or by cold. The aim of this communication is to show the thermal stress risks to which the workers are submitted when work outdoors in the geographical area of the province of Pontevedra. From the climatic information supplied by the automatic weather stations network existing in the area of study (of which were selected five), the levels of risk according to the following methods were calculated: the Index Humidex for the case of stress by heat and the index Wind-Chill by the cold.
