    Abstract
It describes this initiative, the complete constructive process to self-build a dome of 8m diameter and 4.5m high with prefabricated panels of Expanded Polystyrene Foam (EPS), and that this building can be used as an eco-friendly decent housing. Part of the concept, a hemispheric body is the geometric figure that provides the best support structural qualities, the purpose is complemented using a constructive system of easy assembly, with excelent structural properties and thermo-acoustic benefits. The project has a proposal of internal architectural distribution, it attemps alternately to be an up and coming solution in cases of natural disasters, but at the same time guarantees a quality of life that promotes the stablishment of human settlements, discarding so, the construction of lodgings and temporary campsites.
