aspects, an SDI has to deal also with institutional and organizational matters. Proper policies must be developed for overcoming institutional barriers and inertias so to create consensus among the main stakeholders involved in the creation and utilization of geoinformation. The project will start in April 2013 and the duration is one year and nine months. All software used in this process is free. The project team consists of data managers, software developers and computer trainers and is coordinated by a project manager.
