The existence of extreme thermal conditions in the workplace is a source of problems affecting both the health of workers and efficiency of the development of labor activities. The thermal environments, where heat and humidity are too high, can become a risk to workers' health. Similarly, the thermal discomfort in the working environment is directly reflected in the productivity.
The procedure for assessing the exposition to a warm environment is through evaluation or calculation of the thermal stress, i.e. determining the net heat load to which workers are exposed and that is the combined contribution of environmental conditions where they work, the physical activity performed and the characteristics of the clothes they wear.
The purpose of this communication is an initial assessment of the risk of thermal stress of normal workplaces during the construction of an industrial building, in this case located in Ribarroja del Turia (Valencia).
