Family Farming is one of the most important productive sectors that contribute to peasant vocation in many countries because this area is essential to discussion and reflections on technological and innovation as a factors and mechanisms to improve their production and economic levels, and environmental and social implications. The aim of the research was to identify innovations in dairy production cattle systems classifying by type to relate to social issues and sustainability of the AF. A research strategy was developed with an online survey on professionals 3 agro-climatic regions and 5 workshops with focus groups in 4 cantons of the province of Pichincha. 14 types arise to analyze innovations, as a result the typology TPcI identified, the Process Innovation which through various activities together, improve productivity and quality rates, and Adaptation Inovation that are incorporated to reduce costs. Factors such as the farmer´s behavior to assume changes, the level of knowledge, access to technical information and economic resources in these AF systems, determined the level of adoption by type of innovation identified.
