Abstract

In the evolution of the Engineering Design theories in the last 50 years, it is possible to highlight the influence of the Systems Theory, the Scientific method, the analogies utilization, and others project oriented methods and techniques. This paper discusses how Leonardo applies in his work the Scientific method and the systemic approach, while considered environmental factors by introducing ecological, ergonomic and even health and safety principles.
