    Abstract
In recent years, it has experienced an explosion in innovation worldwide driven by major advances in research in all fields of engineering into new fields. Hence born the market opportunities for companies with new product design or redesign of those that already exist. The method developed is based on the methodology of the browser designer, providing the model improvements and refocusing towards the transfer of technological innovation to solutions and products efficiently under the paradigm of open innovation. The model defines a reference area, where there is a possibility of opening the field to new materials research and advances in manufacturing houses. After that, it´s possible to perform the search of the concept and its analysis to find new approaches to find new approaches leading to the proposal of innovative design. This design can answer questions about the form and function of the product embodying the new engineering. For this, the paper illustrates the method with the application of a new material, AGTTM, a photoluminescent polymer that feeds being renewable source of light, to a product of the household furniture sector.
