The idea that there is a "structural art" has been gaining popularity since the publication, in 1985, David Billington's book entitled "The tower and the bridge: the new art of structural engineering". According to the author, to be worthy of such treatment, structural creations should integrate three principles: economy, efficiency and elegance.
In this paper various examples of relatively recent structures of agro-industrial constructions are analyzed. The aim is to show how this "art" is not only possible in public works or emblematic buildings like skyscrapers, but it is also in buildings which, by definition, must be primarily functional and budget.
