The present paper shows the research made by Industrial Engineering academic of Monterrey Institute of Higher Education Campus Queretaro, conformed by teachers and students whom developed a methodology for new product project at poverty areas of Mexico. This methodology was validated through the elaboration of a social project in a small community of the state of Guanajuato, the objective of the project was design a product based on tomato as a raw material. The academic model called Tec 21, to develop skill for graduated alumni, as well as teamwork, solving problems, and the humanistic and sustainable vision. This methodology makes sure the project elaboration in a short time, high quality also his viability in order to be sponsored by governmental programs and foundations as well poverty eradication programs. This methodology is based in industrial engineering like as design of experiments, phase creative, project management, sustainability, concurrent engineering; according to requirements requested by governmental institutions, banks and investment societies.
