The metal-mechanic activity is a broad sector encompassing different activities ranging from the manufacture of metal products to repairing machinery and large equipment. It is also characterized by accident rates higher than most sectors and a serious gravity and consequence of accidents occurring. For this reason, it is of great importance implement and maintain a preventive culture that allows to reduce the number of accidents that occur and its severity. This work has focused on a company dedicated to the manufacture of industrial machinery and manufacturing according to customer specifications. The company had an occupational risk prevention plan integrated in its overall management system. However, in recent years its activity has been modified to adapt to the new challenges of the market, acquiring new machinery and adding new customers. This fact has required the review and adaption of the occupational prevention plan to provide a safe working environment. This paper presents the results of the identification and assessment of risks in the company, the proposed preventive measures and the working procedures modified to the new business situation.
