PROYECTOS DE EFICIENCIA ENERGÉTICA: APLICACIONES DE LOS TURBOEXPANDERS EN ESPAÑA PARA GENERACIÓN ELÉCTRICA

Abstract

Spain, over the last 20 years, has progressed economically and has developed a remarkable natural gas transport and distribution system and at the same time a power grid. More than 27.000 Mw of combined cycle power plants were installed. Nowadays, it is time to improve efficiency and yield of industrial installations. Turboexpander with an electrical generator is a proven technology that can be installed at locations with large pressure drops to produce power. This paper shows preliminary feasibility analysis of such application in Spain.
