Starting on the concept of sustainability and how it influences into the SLCA of products, the study is performed articulating the state of art of synergy of both concepts and how the triple E addresses the aspects necessary for global sustainability of products in the process of design and product development. Given the amount of information generated and transmitted in the process of design and product development, ISO 13030 sets the standard STEP for the exchange of product model data. This standard is divided into different protocols as at different stages.
